I just don’t know how you deal with biting bugs!! I can hardly sit in our backyard without getting bit up! I last for about 15 minutes but I do love the outdoors like hiking where you can keep moving.
Yep, we played beat the bugs quite a bit. We only had a couple of days that it seemed intolerable, but felt like the stay right on the river was worth it. You're right, keeping moving is so much better. We found products like a Thermacell and these shady rings that I'm sure were just solidified Deet worked better than the spray-on repellent. But we used that too. There's a brand called Murphy's that natural and actually works. I might invest in the clothing wash once we head south, I have a few friends that have used that on trips to Africa, and say it works but can break down clothing fabric. By the way, it was so good to see you and catch up!!
